Ledbetter Fair Pay Act

The Ledbetter Fair Pay Act  was that was recently signed into law by President Obama overturns the Supreme Court's decision in Ledbetter v. Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and allows a 180 day time period for filing pay discrimination claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.  The new law allows for a rolling time period for such claims and keeps the 180/300 day time period but renews each time the employee receives compensation.  If the employee terminates, the time period begins from the date the employee terminates.
